So what has been going on since Nov 13? Hmmm . . .
Karl and I had a great Thanksgiving with his mom's side of the family. Amanda came in for the break and will be back in a few days for the Christmas break. We have been frantically decorating the house. Can I say how much I absolutely LOVE Christmas?!?! We have been wrapping presents and having fun just hanging out together. I am looking forward to Dec 17 at 1 pm! My parents will be coming into town on the 18th with my mom staying until the 3rd of Jan and my step-dad jetting out the 26th to go back to work. We are also looking forward to heading up to Dallas for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We haven't been able to see that side of the family for a very long time.
As far as our house re-modeling is going, we are still working on the closet. Yes, still. Hopefully we will get it done today . . . have you heard that before? I believe I have said this a MILLION times! But if I can just Karl out of bed, I think we can make it work. After we finish this closet, who knows what we will work on next. We may just take a break until summer and save up. I know we have been talking about building the fence, but I am not sure if that will happen this winter or not. Who knows? It could happen after the holidays.
HP Update: We have read far enough (with the help of Amanda for letting us know how far we have to read) that we were able to go and see HP7P1 and Karl was absolutely upset about it. This has been the first book (half of, anyway) that Karl has actually read before watching the movie and he was so frustrated with the littlest things - now he knows what it's like to be me. :) I thought it was actually pretty good. Obviously that I had to take out a LOT of the book (or else we would be there for 2 days!) but they did a good job of presenting the important parts of the story. Definitely can't wait for Part 2! I hope they choose to show the characters when it is their turn to take their kids to Platform 9 3/4. Just saying. Tear! I know, I am a nerd. I embrace it!
Two week's ago, we went and hung out with Karl's mom and had the craziest, most interesting discussion about our childhood shows and characters that we loved. Can I say I had so much fun! Listening to the jingles and finding information on my 2XL. Pokemon . . . yes! Oh, I have been looking into the Wii - I really want one and have been talking Karl into getting one - so I have been looking at the 1300+ games that they have - yes that is a whole lot of games. My NES never had that many games. Anyway, all that to say that there is a Pokemon game where Pikachu has to save PokePark. :) I don't know what it is about it - even after over 10 years, I still like those little guys. :)
Cruise Update: Well, we are still on the calendar for heading out of port on July 23 and Karl and I decided, after MUCH deliberation, that we are going to ride with the dolphins in Cozumel and we are SOOO excited! I cannot wait to be out on the ocean with my Karlito!!!! I am soooo excited! Have I said that already? I feel like I am repeating myself.
Anywho, I think I should go get my husband and start working on the closet.
Talk more later!
