. . . life . . .

Wow, it sure has been a long time since I have been able to update. I will try to hit the highlights of the last week, but I am not feeling that well so if I forget something, I'm sorry. :) I overstretched my back or something yesterday when I picked up one of our kids (the smallest one, I will say) and my lower back has hurt pretty bad since then. Today it doesn't feel as bad as yesterday but I still have limited mobility. I had Karl dig into it yesterday and that helped quite a bit and I put heat on it and it has helped some, however I don't want to lay long enough for it to do any good. So, moving on to last week. :) Wednesday was Jim's birthday so we went out to Mertzon and had dinner and played poker. I lost 4 times, I think. I'm not totally sure, I lost count because Shirley kept giving me part of her chips and then I would lose them within a few hands. It was a lot of fun, though. Earlier that day I had my first interview for a teaching job at TLC Academy, a ...

It's been a while

It really has. I know we haven't had a whole lot going on but, WOW, it really has been a long time. Well, the Harry Potter movie we went and saw on Wednesday was AMAZING. Yeah, the cut out quite a bit, but it still followed the book enough to make sense. I loved it and so did Karl, minus the whole ending, which anyone who has read the books knows it's true to the book. Us before the movie - we are stoked! The movie billboard. Yeah for Harry Potter! Friday we went to another movie, yeah we've been bored. :) Well, Thursday night we decided to watch the first Transformers and after watching Karl looked over at me and asked if we could go and watch the second one the next day. I told him we would see, well, as you can tell, we did go and see it Friday afternoon. It wasn't that great, really. Yeah, the story line was good but whoever wrote the script for that movie should be ashamed of themselves. The dialog was horrible. There were cuss words everywhere, and not in the mili...

Step aside Betty Crocker

That's right, according to my husband, I make Betty Crocker jealous! Ha!!! LOL I really did have a great time cooking last night, even after a day at MDO. :) The kids really weren't that bad yesterday; I think it had a lot to do with the fact that we had a visitor early in the morning cuz once he left they got a little more . . . "tired" and like 2-year-olds. :) Needless to say, even though I didn't get my pay check yet (yay for Thursday!!!!, it was still a great day at MDO! It was even greater when I came home and Karl had already done a major part of the chores and found my MDO shirt that I just could not find - he is sooooo great! I mean almost everything except dusting and vacuuming, including dishes, laundry, cleaning up the living room, bedroom . . . so good! We had planned our meals for the week on Sunday and had decided that Tuesday night we were going to eat catfish, but I didn't know how I was going to cook it. :/ So, when I came home to a cleanish h...

Busy, Busy Day . . . I Hope

Well, the weekend ended . . . sad time . . . I have been loving these weekends - they seem so long and I like it that way. :) Saturday's game was a lot of fun, except for the hackler behind us who could not say anything positive whatsoever and was being a bad influence on all the kids around us. It was so horrible to hear and very frustrating. "Get off my field!" Really?? Your field? Hmmm . . . irritating! Anywho, even though we didn't win it was still very fun to watch. It was a really close game and had some really great plays. Before getting there, we drove around town and looked at the different neighborhoods around San Angelo, seeings how I have no idea what any of them look like, but now I have a much better idea and I can't wait 'til we get to get a house (don't worry Mom, it won't be for a very long time, we just like looking when we're bored). Well, we are celebrating this week because . . . Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out...

. . . peaches . . .

Well, since Thursday, I have definitely gotten sick . . . :( it has not been much fun, at all. I think the worst part of ever getting sick is the whole having to sleep or just sit there all the time, I just hate it! Anywho, Thursday night we went out to the family cabin and had a little family get together for Nat's birthday. We had some yummy food and were able to play Apples to Apples together (which I think was rigged because I was the only person not to get one of those green cards). It was pretty hilarious, I must say, even if I was no where near winning, at all. Organic spit . . . geeze . . . Well, sad to say, I just realized that I left my camera out there, so Karl and I are going to try to run out there and get it today before going to the Stampede game tonight, although that is where my last one got stolen so maybe I shouldn't . . . hmmm . . . we'll see. Friday I slept in for a long time and when I finally got up, I printed out some letters for me and Karl and got ...

Just sitting on the couch . . .

. . . enjoying not being with two year olds. :) This week they have just really lived up to their nickname: the terrible twos!!! They have really been terrible!!!!We had ten today . . . yes ten . . . and they were all pouty and tired. Horrible!!! Needless to say I am pooped and exhausted. Plus, we figured out this morning that I may be getting sick, so that doesn't really help either. We shall see as the days progress if I'm gettin worse or not. I tried to apply for so more jobs yesterday but the administration building was closed so I will just have to wait until Monday to take care of it. I also stopped by another school that I applied at and found out that they weren't hiring anymore. So I was a little depressed but I was able to call my grandma and talk to her for a good hour and it made it a little better. We are both still praying for jobs. We know we are supposed to wait for His timing, but we both like to have a plan and right now we just keep flying by the seats of...

Hoo-rah!

So, we didn't actually get to go golfing yesterday (weather wasn't up to par) so we ate some dinner and, instead, went to an indoor soccer game, which was a lot of fun. I got to meet a friend from Karl's work and his wife (they just got married two weekends ago) - they are super nice. We had a great time. Then we went to Hastings to walk around, and the mall as well. It's funny how easy it is to walk around that mall. I think we were there an hour, and we were walking pretty slow. :) Something to get used to, I guess. But there is an Old Navy and a JC Penney, so life is good. :) After that, we came on home and played a little Nintendo 64 before heading to bed. Something exciting, though. We applied for a Corrections Officer position yesterday, so we are praying that Karl gets a call for an interview real soon. It would be such a blessing for us. In the meantime, I found some more jobs to apply for so I've been doing that for two days now. Yipee! Anywho, I better sta...

Crayons and Cheez-its

Both are amazing (and currently what my mind is preoccupied with). I've been working on Mom's Day Out stuff this morning, getting ready for tomorrow, and was a little snacky but (Nat) I AM NOT PREGNANT. ;) Brother-in-laws. :) Anywho, Karl & I had a superb weekend, it was probably one of the best weekends we've had since being married and living in San Angelo. Friday, we got the entire house picked up (don't count the office and Amanda's room) and it actually looks pretty nice in there. Then friends of ours came over Friday night and we ate and talked, ate and talked, and then ate and talked some more. It was a real blast and I'm glad that we were able to have them over. Such a blessing. Saturday Karl had to work in the morning, so I slept in (I'm going to miss that when, one day, I get a job) and awaited for him to come home. We've been playing the Nintendo 64 that came in quite a bit (we'll prolly have to move it somewhere else because it is suc...

. . . Two Year Olds . . .

Phew, today was a little long, but still good . . . thank God for the weekend! :) I've decided, from working out a Mom's Day Out, that I love 2 year olds! They are so much fun . . . and potty training really isn't that bad at all. I never really knew the patience that I had for them existed like it does. It's amazing how you can have patience for some things and then not for others. Anyway, I basically decided that I really want to have kids today. :) Now, Karl and I have talked about it for a while that we are going to start planning for a family five years from our marriage (so like 4 years 10 months today, you can expect a possible Rosita or Rosito [little Rose for all you gringos]) and I am still TOTALLY behind that, but now I feel that atleast I am somewhat better prepared for the thought of children. I can't wait to babysit Madelynn and baby #2 to get even more practice under my belt. Yay for nieces & (possibly) nephews. :) We are planning a yard sale for ...
