That's right, according to my husband, I make Betty Crocker jealous! Ha!!! LOL I really did have a great time cooking last night, even after a day at MDO. :)
The kids really weren't that bad yesterday; I think it had a lot to do with the fact that we had a visitor early in the morning cuz once he left they got a little more . . . "tired" and like 2-year-olds. :) Needless to say, even though I didn't get my pay check yet (yay for Thursday!!!!, it was still a great day at MDO!
It was even greater when I came home and Karl had already done a major part of the chores and found my MDO shirt that I just could not find - he is sooooo great! I mean almost everything except dusting and vacuuming, including dishes, laundry, cleaning up the living room, bedroom . . . so good!
We had planned our meals for the week on Sunday and had decided that Tuesday night we were going to eat catfish, but I didn't know how I was going to cook it. :/ So, when I came home to a cleanish house, I was pumped and ready to look in the plethora of cook books that we have in our kitchen (which I love!). I found this really simple recipe and ended up frying this catfish and it was delicious and EASY! I like this.

Apparently Karl likes it, too, and that means a WHOLE lot!!! :)
And then, if that wasn't enough, I decided to make cookies. I know, crazy, huh?!?! So, after putting the dishes in the sink and NOT washing them, I'm notorious for that, I started whipping up some cookies and now that I know how our oven works, they turned out very yummy. I actually ate a little too many last night, I think. :)

Here they are! We bought these cookie cutters while in Alaska. The moose ones didn't really agree with me, though. The antlers kept falling off. :/
Anywho, that's about it. Today we are going to go see Year 6 in Harry Potter's career at Hogwarts, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!!! Super excited! Can't wait to tell you all about it.
My sister comes home in 16 days!!!! Can you tell that I'm excited? This is the longest that I have gone without talking to her. Sure we've texted two or three times but it's not the same, you know? :/ Anywho, I am very excited and awaiting her return. Plus, the weekend she comes in we get to go to a wedding (number 20 something for the summer :)) and get to stay with some friends from college. We're pumped!
That's all for this Betty Crocker in the making. I'm going to make like some cookie dough and roll . . . lame, but I'm out. :)
