Can you believe that we are half way through the month of January already? It is so very crazy to me how quickly time just seems to fly by each and every month. I am so looking forward to this three day weekend. Karl and I will be able to work some more on the house and maybe just get to hang out. Hopefully it will warm up some tomorrow so we can take Kiana to the park - I think that would be so much fun!
We just got one of our new pillows fixed - thank God for Ashley!! :) But poor Kiana, had to stay in the bedroom. She just gets too darn excited. But that's why I love her.
Exciting things to come: I start my grad classes on Tuesday! Yeah, I am so excited. :) I am totally being positive. Also, we are taking part in a new study at CCSA that is called "The Truth Project". I am so excited to begin this "journey" and to learn more about myself. Just in one night Karl and I had so many great discussions. It is amazing how God's truths have been distorted by the world we live in. The one lie that I had been believing for so long is that people are innately good. I have learned that the this couldn't be farther from the truth. I learned that this world is in the realm of the Devil; this is his world. Therefore, we are not innately good. Once Adam and Eve were deceived in the garden, we became children of the Devil. Once we accept Christ into our hearts, we become children of God. I absolutely love this.
For so long in my life I had a hard time with my accepting of Christ because I did not change much. With that I mean that I did not have the drastic change that so many individuals have in their accepting Christ. For I while I did good with reading the Word and doing the things that I felt God called me to but since college, I have really slacked off.
I am currently doing a bible study that Karl bought me for Christmas that focuses on women that have followed in Christ's footsteps. It has been interesting, but not as fulfilling as I know it could be. I am looking forward to a book that I just purchased to do with Mara and Sharon. It looks like it will be very good for me as a woman of Christ.
Well, I better get back to my husband. Until later . . .
