doTERRA Convention Overview

Morning all!

I'm finally caught up enough to sit down and reflect on our trip to Salt Lake City, UT last week. I hope to make this short and sweet - but there are no promises. ;)

For those that don't know, 11 of us set on a journey to Utah for the yearly doTERRA Convention. Us and 18,000 other Wellness Advocates experienced 3 days of nonstop education and empowerment. I can honestly say that I left there educated and able to share with others about the benefits of natural products and overall wellness.

We began our trek each day on Salt Lake's Trax system which was wonderful - other than it being about 45 minutes away. It was such a blessing to have available to us but I vote we stay closer so we can sleep in - am I lazy, or what?!?

Isn't he cute?!?
Always enjoying a few laughs with Amy around. ;)

Stephanie and her little doTERRA Baby aka future Diamond. ;)
Mother - Daugher - Awww!
We began Convention by getting registered. The logistics were wonderful - yes, I am that NERD that cares about those things. We were able to get through the line to register, then get our Convention Backpack and goodies, followed by our recognition ribbons within about 45 minutes. And that was on Registration day right when they opened. When I went with a couple girls the morning that convention started we got through in about 10 minutes,

This was registration Wednesday morning. It looks more overwhelming that it really was. ;)
Stephanie showing off her recognition ribbons!
Yep, that's my hubby!

Since we registered early we were able to take part in the Campus Tours of doTERRA's new Corporate Headquarters. The building was beautiful!

Me and my favorite girls!
One day . . .

See what I mean? Beautiful!
Welcome to doTERRA!
After the tour we were all finally able to meet up as a team since we were spread out all over the place. While Mom and Angie went to the Product Showcase to get a Sneak Peak of the new products, the rest of us ate some wonderful grub at Chili's and learned about their new-fangled paying machine at the table. My was that entertaining. ;)

The girls woke up the morning of convention to a surprise on their door.

I think we surprised them. Success!
View from the outside. Heehee!
Once the balloon mess was removed.
We had too much fun preparing and planning for the surprises. The girls' reactions were priceless!

doTERRA launched 11 new products!
Day 1 of Convention began with new product reveals and finished with more announcements from the company. Here are links to more information about these products:

Two New Skin Care Lines HERE
Updated Breathe Blend and Breathe Respiratory Drops HERE
Everything else (TerraGreens, OnGuard Toothpaste Samples, Arborvitae, Cardamom, Correct-X, and Petal Diffuser) HERE

I will take more time in future posts to cover these products and my personal experiences with them.

Day 2 of Convention consisted of Breakout Sessions. Our group split into two different groups and learned a TON about natural wellness as well as tools for building our businesses.

Day 3 ended with more announcements from the company, including that they will be increasing their research efforts 10 times! That is huge, y'all!

They also announced the new Share Program, where new Advocates can get Free Products just for sharing doTERRA's wonderful products with their friends and family. More information can be found HERE.

We also received updates on doTERRA's benevolent hand, the Healing Hands Foundation. The Healing Hands Foundation is one of my favorite parts of the giving heart of doTERRA. Not only is every dollar donated utilized (no overhead costs) for families across the world, but doTERRA and Wellness Advocates (who pay their own way there) give of their talents and time to help families better themselves. This past year, several of doTERRA's Blue Diamond Wellness Advocates went with the owners to Haiti where our Vetiver is grown. The people there had to walk over an hour to get water, an hour to bring it back, and then had to boil it to clean it. They did this every single day. While doTERRA was there a water station was installed, allowing the people in that community to receive clean water with the turn of a handle. More on that HERE.

For those of you that are currently Wellness Advocates, I greatly encourage you to check that box for a $1 donation to the Healing Hands Foundation. We are making a change in the world, even with just $1 a month.
We were also able to celebrate with our upline Silvers who were able to walk the stage at Convention. FYI there were over 900 Silvers, 500 Golds, and 200 Platinums. There was A LOT to celebrate!

Next year I know we'll have a TON more of our team up there and I CAN'T WAIT to CHEER them on!

We were also able to spend some time with our wonderful upline, as well. Here we are with Team Sescenti:

And finally here are some more pics that I just had to share. Love, love, love these people and am so blessed by them.

Team Synergy - REPRESENT!
I just LOVE this picture!

Mom, Angie, Rita, and Myself with Jon Chase, one of the Wellness Advocates/Trainers for TERRAfit. Our Team finished 5th overall in the competition with over 60 lbs lost! We are amazing!

Audrey with the wonderful Doug & Rachelle Castor.
All in all, we had a wonderful time. I look forward to the post convention events that will be happening around the US. If you are interested in learning more about what was shared at Convention, you can find more information HERE. We are currently working on an event sometime soon in the San Angelo and Abilene area as well as the Metroplex and possibly other cities within Texas - let us know your interest and we can see if we can make it happen.

Blessings everyone!

If this happens one more time . . .

Anyone know a good cell phone service provider? This is the second time that we worked with someone at AT&T and I am about ready to switch providers. We went in there today to get my phone moved to Karl's plan, which we had to get a form filled out by my mom (well, kinda :), it helps when I can sign like mom; it's not like I didn't have her permission) in order to do so. We walked in and talked to this guy, gave him the form, and we thought that he understodd what we needed to be done and he just started going. We got to the point where I would pick out a phone and he started getting stuff ready and I re-asked him, after he wanted to know what number I wanted to use for it, if my phone was now on Karl's plan and he just went crazy on us. Basically he said that we never told him that that is what we wanted. He was very rude, basically saying that it was our fault that he did all this work for nothing. It was very disheartening and I really wanted to tell him to forge...

New Journey . . . Diamond Club

What does it take to make a diamond? Any ideas? According to Wikipedia, you know the source for all things, a diamond is "formed at high temperature[s] and pressure". Karl and I are excited to announce that we will be taking part in journey. A journey that will, hopefully, push us to Diamond. It will take a lot of work but we are excited for this opportunity for our team. What is Diamond Club? Why is this so exciting? Maybe this video will explain it better. Diamond Club creates a great opportunity for EVERYONE! It allows Karl and I to travel to areas that want to grow and also allows for new members to receive additional products with their enrollment and subsequent LRP orders. Free stuff??? Yes, please!!! It really is a great opportunity for everyone on our team. We are looking forward to the immense growth that will happen because of this wonderful opportunity. So you may be asking, how do I get involved? What does this look like exactly? Basically we...

Writer's Corner Number 8

Typed from written Journal Entry: I thought I’d change it up a bit and try writing in journal form tonight. I am also curious to see the difference in length of writing for both writing formats. Dr. Semingson suggested incorporating pictures into our journal writings/posts. I don’t have any pics from growing up – they are all at my dad’s house in Michigan – but I can start adding new pics from Alaska, especially when it comes time to talk about our honeymoon adventures there. Today I want to start by talking about earthquakes. I want to preface this “talk” with a story from when I moved to Texas. Not long into the start of my 7th grade year we practice emergency drills. I remember one of my teachers talking about what to do in case of an emergency: crouch down with your head near a wall and cover your head. I remember thinking that getting near a wall wouldn’t be the safest thing in the world but I didn’t argue – I didn’t know what that emergency drill was for. Now that I’m olde...
