So, the past month has been a roller coaster of emotions. Karl and I have had a lot going on and are finally beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel . . . maybe . . . :P
A few weekends ago we had a garage sale and since then have been selling all of our furniture to, basically, start over. If you were to look in our living room right now all you would see is a recliner, which is Karl's dad's, and a bench. That's it. You'd look into our bedroom and you'd see a bunch of boxes and - no furniture. Definitely a crazy time, for sure. Doesn't it look like so much fun??

What has been fun is that we've been planning and dreaming about what our house will "look like" in the future. We have been sleeping on our little Full sized mattress in the front bedroom for a couple weeks now and were planning on waiting until after Christmas to actually order our new King sized mattress. Welp, let's just say that we couldn't wait that long. I laughed because Karl was the one who really wanted to wait and was also the one who said he couldn't wait anymore. Ha! So, we broke down and ordered our new mattress last week.
We've been researching and learning more about sleeping on organic mattresses and how much better it is for your body. I looked around at different mattresses that were available online but the cheapest all organic one that I could find was $7,000 - yep. While I see the importance of an organic mattress, I just don't see us paying for that in this stage of our life. So . . . I kept researching and came across Keetsa.
We were super impressed with the reviews for this company and began looking at their Eco-friendly mattresses. We decided on their Tea Leaf Supreme. According to their site, this mattress is good for all kinds of sleepers and is good for keeping you cool while you sleep which is a HUGE PLUS for Karl - that man gets so HOT when he sleeps. Not looking forward to being pregnant with hot flashes with him. Yikes! That leads me to another reason why we decided on this mattress. It claims to have less motion transfer so I won't keep him up at night when I'm rolling around. Lol! Oh, and the best part is that they give FREE SHIPPING and I got to use a promo code so I got 5% off the mattress! Woohoo!!!
The mattress finally came in today and we are so excited to get it out and get some good rest. However, the slats we need for our new bed won't come in until later this week, so alas, it will stay in the box until we have them. Curse you IKEA!!!
We will keep you posted - can't wait to get that baby out!!!!

We also met with a contractor so we can hopefully begin working on the house soon, Our first project we want to focus on is our wall in the living room. We have a window and door that we want to take out, fill in, then change the back window to patio doors. This will give us more room to move the furniture around like we want it. We also checked with him on redoing our fireplace and EVENTUALLY remodeling our bathroom. Gasp - I know. Excited and not looking forward to the $$$ on that one.
So anyway, after he left we started looking at the fireplace and thought - why can't we do that ourselves? So, we took it all down. And now we have a Cr@zY looking wall and hopes to get it done sooner than later. Here is what it will look like - only painted white and without the brick.
I've also been working with M, P, and S on everything revolving around the turkey. The first week of November we focused on the body parts of a turkey, including the wattle. So glad that the kids remembered that and that it changes colors - crazy, right?! The second week we focused on life cycles again, going over our own life cycle then venturing into the life cycle of a turkey. The kids each got 3 pictures of themselves and had to sort them into newborn, infant, recent (4 years, 5 years, or 6 years) and then they drew a picture of themselves "today". They turned out so cute!
And, today I focused some on myself, reflecting on my goals and aspirations. I've been reading quite a bit lately about the power of positive thought and "seeing" what is to come and then focusing on it until it becomes a reality. One way to do this is by creating a Vision Board.
What are some things that you dream about? What are you doing to make it a reality? If you need someone to be accountable to, I'd love to work with you to reach your dreams. You can do anything you put your mind to.

That night I got a visit from the kiddoes again and between the popcorn and ice cream - yep, I'm that aunt - the kids started playing "oils". The. Cutest. Thing. Ever! P and S were playing husband and wife, pretending that Kinley was their pup (she's their favorite - ha!) and were basically just buying all the oils they could find. M was making sample vials and giving them to me to give to certain people. "These are for Sally. These are for Kate." I'd thank her and then keep working on stuff for the next night's event. At one point she came to me and asked, "How is Kate feeling?" I responded that she was starting to feel better. She giggled and said, "I told her she would start feeling better!" Made my heart happy!!
The next day was our big event for doTERRA. It was a lot of work but it was well worth it. We had over 60 guests in attendance with over half of them being new to doTERRA - exciting! We were immensely blessed to have Rachelle in from Utah to share in this event. She is a wonderful lady and we are so, so blessed to have her in our lives.

I won't do a wonderful job explaining how it works and there is a lot of information out there promoting it and others saying it is entirely bogus, but I see the merit in focusing on your dreams each day. By thinking on those things, you will begin to make choices, even subconsciously, in favor of your dreams. So, I sat down today and began really fine tuning what I wanted. Here is what I have so far and will be what makes up my Vision Board for now:
So tomorrow morning I will begin TerraFit again and will be shopping at HEB for our week's worth of groceries. I'm off to meal planning. Adios!
