Let me just tell you, it has been a crazy day . . . strike that . . . a crazy week!
For those faint at heart and who have a week stomach, this post may not be for you. The morning started alright. Kiana had a good morning and did not give me a hard time at all. I went to school and all during the morning instruction (reading) my spleen, at least I think it is my spleen, was hurting SO bad. I am going to probably go to the doctor soon to see about it. I hope it's nothing too serious.
Then at the end of the day one of my girls tells me that her stomach hurts. So I let her get a drink and sit in my chair because she didn't feel like throwing up. Well, I am reading a story about farm animals and right as I saw QUACK she stands up and vomits all over the floor. So I send out my after-school care kids and then sent out my other kids to follow Brandi's class out the door. I told my little girl to just wait there, in her vomit, until I came back because no one would answer their phone - basically the entire office staff was out for the afternoon. :( So I took my kids outside, told the secretary about what had happened and she called the janitors that were at the other school to come over and take care of it. So, all my kids go home, I go back upstairs to tend to my sick child and I call her parents . . . only after waiting for her mom to come for our conference . . . which obviously she did not come to, again . . . and had to call them four times before I got an answer. Then I told her they were coming and she fell asleep. I got a phone call from another parent and during our conversation, my little first grader stands up and re-vomits about triple her original. Meanwhile, the custodian comes in and wants to know where the vomit is (which is right out int he open) and cleans up the first vomit with a rag and spray. :( Then her step-dad came and basically blamed her for getting sick and making him come up there . . . WHICH IS WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! Some people . . . the thing that I dislike most about teaching is the parents . . . not all of them but some of them.
So, needless to say I am queasy and Karl is making fun of me. :) Not really, but he is pretty much amazing! I love him soooooo much. Oh and our daughter . . . and our son. :) They are pretty much great! Karl is making me a jelly sandwich. :)
Oh, my next blog may be about my great turkey cooking day, but I hope to be able to blog sooner. :)
Until then . . . hope you are having a great day!
