That's right . . . I have successfully blogged for one whole week. :)
Today was a great day. We went to Abilene today for a short while [2 hours] and I finally ordered my bridesmaid dress for Kandice's wedding in October and Karl got some pants from Kohls. I found some really cute heels at Shoe Carnival . . . I am totally thinking about buying them.
When we got back home we worked on the backyard for about 2 hours and now I am even more sore than I was this morning . . . who knew that Field Day would be so tiring? Jeepers . . . my whole upper body is so sore!
Karl cooked us some rib eye for dinner and it was really good. Now we are watching "Dumb and Dumber" . . . I forgot how ridiculous it is! Jeeze . . . and it was released back in 1994 . . . wow, who would have thought? And . . . we just paid the rest of our Cruise!! Woohoo! We leave July 23. :)
Exercise: None . . . :( I may go ahead and get on the WiiFit though in a minute - I am getting tired of the movie already. Other than the WiiFit, I worked outside with Karl moving cinder blocks. :) Oh yeah, just got done doing super hula hoop and burning 65 calories, then turned on Biggest Loser and burned 46 more . . . although I got a whole lot more sweaty the second time . . . I think their calorie counter is WAY off. Geesh . . . I am sweating like crazy!
Word: I was finally able to read Day 2 of this week's reading about "Your kingdom come". When we read this part of the Lord's prayer, it is stating that we pledge our allegiance to Him and by doing so put Him first. His kingdom come refers to Heaven and its coming to be on earth. We have to put Him first in all things or else our allegiance is not with Him. Several things in my life have been put continually in place of my allegiance to God, hence why I don't spend enough time in the Word. I have been so convicted lately when I talk to people from our church because they have such a knowledge of the history of the bible and the Word of God. I want to be like that and in order to do so I need to spend more time in the word, pledging my allegiance to Him.
Every morning I show my allegiance to the flag of the United States and to Texas. I like to believe that I am very patriotic but why can't I stand to show my allegiance for Christ. I need to show my allegiance each morning as I read his Word and pray for my students during our "quiet time" at school. I need to be thoughtful of this. Prayer for me in this would be appreciative.
Night all!
